Three great views in Barcelona

Barcelona is a beautiful city with lots to offer. Unfortunately, it is also very touristic and crowded, which makes it slightly unattractive for a mindful traveller who wishes to explore something unique. I've been now many times to Barcelona, as love has gotten me to take the AVE from Madrid every second weekend. In a different post, I've written about my favorite activity while being in Barcelona - escaping to Costa Brava. But here, I would like to present you three of my favorite spots to enjoy while in the city - all with great views.

Soho House Barcelona

This hotel & members club has a super chic rooftop terrace with pool, comfortable loungers and a yummy menu. They regularly host live gigs and parties. The duck rice is to die for and the the cocktails are just right for a breezy summer evening. The space goes all around the roof hence you get almost 360 degrees view over Barcelona. You need to be a member of Soho House to get in, which makes it exclusive, and although the membership costs 150 € a month, it gives you access to all their houses all over the world, plus gym access, yoga classes, free weekly movie nights, events & more in the Soho House of your city of residence. If you're under 27 - you get a special rate and 50% discount on food & beverage in all of their bars and restaurants, all over the world. Cool, right?

The Barcelona EDITION

I come from a hospitality background and I love hotels, so it is not a surprise that my second favorite place is, well, another hotel. However, hotels are usually the ones with the nice rooftops in every city around the world. EDITION is a cool lifestyle luxury hotel located in the hip neighborhood of Born, in the centre of Barcelona. Their pool is facing the lower part of the city, with the sea, while the bar and seating area are facing towards the upper part of Barcelona, on the other side of the roof. No matter where you are, you are guaranteed a view! Perfect place for sipping cocktails and watching the sunset, before heading for dinner and drinks in Born.

Little Beach House in Garraf

This next spot is a mix of nature and style. Little Beach House is the summer house of Soho House. And when you are a member, you get to use both places, Little Beach House being located right on the beach in Garraf, 30 minutes drive from Barcelona central. It has a restaurant, terrace and rooftop, plus some hotel rooms facing the sea should you have too many cocktails and wish to spend the night - or the week. Right behind you is the Garraf Massif, a range of coastal cliffs with cute villages and wine estates. Perfect for an exploratory hike with great views over the Mediterranean sea.

I know I said three, but as mentioned I love rooftops and hotels, so there's two more suggestions: Grand Hotel Central (rooftop only open for non-hotel guests after 8 pm) and Jardin Diana at Hotel El Palace. Enjoy the views and happy escape from the tourists!
